ICE High-Speed Train Operations
Munich to Berlin & Berlin to Frankfurt train transfers.
Our group will take German Intercity-Express (ICE) high-speed trains. These trains stop at stations for only 2 to 3 minutes! We must react swiftly as a single block to board and store heavy bags safely.
📝 Task checklist
Check platforms and train Wagen/Coach layoutCritical
Stand in the designated platform zone (Section A, B, or C) corresponding to our group coach booking.
Board in single-file line (Double speed)Critical
Students without heavy bags enter first to clear the vestibule; stronger students assist with bags. Don't linger.
Store heavy bags in luggage racks instantly
Luggage racks are at the end of each coach. Keep hand bags overhead.
Respect ICE Quiet Zones (Ruhebereich)
Keep voices down; use headphones. No shouting across seat aisles. Business commuters rely on train quietness.
Verify seat reservation displays (Sitzplatzreservierung)
Ensure we sit in blocks marked 'München - Berlin' or 'Berlin - Frankfurt'.
Liaison with Deutsche Bahn conductor at boardingCritical
Present the master group ticket (digital QR) to DB ticket controller.
