Safety is our absolute #1 priority. This checklist defines standard protocols for students to prevent any incidents of getting lost, particularly at crowded events like the Stuttgart, Berlin, and Frankfurt Christmas Markets.
📝 Task checklist
Wear your Tour Identity Card around your neckCritical
Includes details: Emergency coordinator's phone number + hotel address. Keep it hidden inside your jacket.
Stay with your assigned 'Buddy' (Buddy System)Critical
You are paired in pairs. If your buddy goes to the toilet, you go with them. Never leave your buddy alone.
Check-in at hourly meeting points
When exploring marketplace spots, return to the designated meeting point every 60 minutes for roll call.
Beware of Pickpockets (Christmas Markets)Critical
Keep phones in front zipped pockets of jackets, not in backpacks. Never leave bags on cafe chairs.
Follow the 'Lost Student Protocol' immediatelyCritical
If detached from the group: 1. STOP moving. 2. Call the emergency supervisor's WhatsApp. 3. Find a police officer or a store counter.
⚠️ Lost Student Action Plan
If you get lost, DO NOT try to search for the group on your own. GPS coordinates can be confusing. Stay in a well-lit public space, keep your phone in your hand, and wait for your chaperone to dial your number.
